Gotham's new District Attorney has been elected. His name is Harvey Dent, and he has a radical new agenda that threatens to take down Gotham's organized crime underworld once and for all with an iron fist. But the emergence of the rogue vigilante known as Batman has caused problems for Dent and his agenda. A new criminal mastermind known only as "The Joker" has arrived and aims to take Gotham out from under Harvey Dent's iron fist. The Joker stages a masterfully planned bank robbery and robs the Gotham mob blind. He uses this money to stage a series of horrific and strategic attacks against the city and its people, each one carefully planned and aimed at Dent and Batman, while causing the rest of the city to enter panic mode. Meanwhile, Batman thinks he might have found a lead to The Joker thanks to Wayne Enterprises' dealings with a shady Chinese banker, and that takes Batman and Alfred to Hong Kong. The Joker has no rules, but Batman has only one, and the Joker aims to make Batman break his only rule. But who will be the one to take him out, will it be rogue vigilante Batman, or will it be elected official Harvey Dent, the new hero with a face?

You can actually hear a story in this theme. Joker... full chaos. then Batmans theme gradually works itself in... you hear a struggle between the two sides... you hear the pain, it's like a fight, a battle of wills if you may... then the rise of the knight. .overcoming evil... then Batman takes the victory and you no longer hear the joker... this shit is an absolute masterpiece. Zimmer and Williams are artist with composing. I can listen to them all day every day. They envoke every emotion. especially Williams... A composer has the ability to read a scene, the emotion, the depth, and take that and morph into a sound that strikes the heart. Its incredible. I cant think of anything else that feats this art wise... we are witnessing greatness. An author, for example, can take us on a journey with words, but a composer can take us by sound. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm in awe of this type of art. Music has a way of penetrating the most hardened hearts, has a way of helping us get over a break up, or a loss of a loved one, gives us something to motivate us to BE BETTER. or certain notes can make us think we are invincible... gives us a sense of pride. idk. Music is so powerful in the hearts of man. end rant.

First off I would like to say that I did in fact enjoy the Dark Knight, and on a technical and movie making level it was top notch, but it was not all that it was cracked up to be. It was hyped to be action packed and epic when in the relation to its length there was barely any action. Basically what I am saying is it is no Spider Man 2 which is the Best Comic Book/Super Hero Film EVER, followed closely by X-Men 2. Dark Knight was to humanistic and based in reality, instead of making a grand story they based made it an allegory for current times, which shows good writing and is fine but when i see a comic book movie i want to see something that is magical and has bigger than life action. Dark Knight just wasn't what the advertising made it out to be.
